Question Need advice/opinions on wheel finish

What up y'all?! My baby is gonna be arriving soon and I need to decide on wheel particulars. Will be getting ultra white IS 350 F-Sport. I'm getting black rims similar to the stock wheels and I'm debating between a matte finish and egg shell finish. I think it's called egg shell but basically its the same finish as the stock wheels. Are there any practical reasons for choosing either finish? Thanks. Happy Halloween!!

The finish sheen won't make a difference on durability, but manufacturing process or finish type/quality will. Are you getting the stock wheels repainted, plastidipped, etc? Or are these a new set of wheels?

I was planning on getting the stock wheels powder coated.

bshaw77, I'm not going to claim I'm an expert in powder coating but had an idea about how critical its application and temperature is to the adhesion and overall strength of the wheel. If this is well-controlled, you should be good. See below and good luck

Thanks for the info. The Lexus dealership is going to do the powder coating so I think I should be good. My rep told me that the work has a lifetime(?) warranty. I need to talk to him again to make sure this is correct. I've seen some of their work and I was impressed. I just want it to come out right. Still iffy on matte vs normal finish.
