Default Are you Leasing or Buying your new 3IS?

Just curious to see who is actually buying vs. leasing their 3IS...

Also would be glad to know why you are purchase vs lease (everyone's situation is different)..

More of the vocal folks here seem to be leasing, but you can also choose purchase option and be anonymous

Same here...unless I test drive the RC-F and decide I love it.

Edit: And no extended warranty. Doing my own oil changes every 10k (expect the 1st one at 1000 miles for engine metal shavings that have likely accumulated) and using only AMSOil with extended life filters. The only time the dealer will see my car is if it is something I can't or don't know how to replace myself.

I bought mine, I also bought the service plan... I would love to be able to do it myself, but I just don't have the time. I was able to talk them down to their "at cost" price, which was still a bit high, but not as bad considering I don't have to buy the stuff now. Please don't bash me, lol.

Lease

I flip my rides like every other year so purchasing just makes no sense for me?!

I might pick up a service plan later, but I didn't get one yet. Probably will wait and see how the reliability goes for this model since it's a first year redesign.

Curious as I haven't looked into it yet but what does service plan include? Better financially to get in a pkg then separate one offs? By how much?

I'm new to lexus but for those who have gotten extended warranty, do you end up using?

I leased it under my business name in order to write it off.

the 27 month lease rates are pretty damn attractive right now. add in some nice incentives and invoice price, you're looking at sub $300 for a base is250 rwd.

I bought mine. I picked up the extended warranty from Lexus (Platinum Plan) with $0 deductible for 125K/ 7 yrs. I paid $1849 for the plan. I also picked up the tire/rim protection plan for 5 yrs with $0 deductible for $895. I know I spent an arm and leg, but it was worth the piece of mind! By the way, I just used the tire/protection plan last wheel for a pot whole which blowout my drive side tire and rim. Made my money back!

I lease. Like someone already said, I change cars every 2 or 3 years.... sometimes a year like it happened with the RX so if I buy something I am not getting rid of it and then I would have a whole fleet of cars I only own my toy, the 300zx and it's also the only one I do any mods and I probably would never willingly get rid of that car.

Lease, always lease my cars as both my wife and I change our rides every 2 to 3 years. Only car I own, just like my brother said up above ^^^ is my 300ZX Twin Turbo
Besides, buying an IS would mean only one thing: mods!!! And I am not doing any mods... Mayor mods that is to any car but the Z.
