Default Can Our Leases Be Transferred?

Just curious, but does anyone know if our Lexus Financial Services leases can be completely transferred through websites like Lease Trader, releasing us therefrom?

Thanks.

Just curious; was under the impression it's very easy, then a friend who does so all the time said it depends on whether or not our leases permit same, which makes sense.

Nevertheless, just found this, which states it's possible:

http://www.leasetrader.com/car/lease...anies.aspx#250

Thanks.

i tried lease trader once years ago, i had a very fair offer and 0 luck. don't plan to use that as a way out of a lease. i didn't get a single call in almost 2 months.

They can but Lexus Financial makes it impossible. I tried 3 years ago (with my 2IS, albeit) and Lexus kept conveniently "losing" our paperwork, even after we did signature required mail. My personal opinion is, since they only make a $25 lease transfer fee to transfer a lease to a new person, they just dont care about making them happen... Glad i kept mine in the end though, bought it out and modded it like crazy.

You had an offer, but it didn't go through? Are alternate arrangements to what your actual lease terms are acceptable? Thought it's simply a matter of them picking up where you leave off.

Just checked and it looks like Lexus now charges $200 to transfer a lease. Much better than what I see for BMW and Mercedes! Crazy how they can just lose your paperwork!? Nevertheless, happy you're happy you kept your car!

In addition to leasetrader.com, any other additional sites anyone knows of or has used?

You can do a lease transfer. The person leasing the car will need to contact LFS(Lexus Financial Services) they will send you the necessary docs and the new person has to be credit worthy and they will do the trasnfer.
