BIG DECISION 2014 IS250 or....
Hey guys, how's it going? My lease is up and I'm debating wether I should get the 14 c250 sport or make the switch to the Lexus is250 f sport. I currently have a 2011 c300 and loved it. Lexus dealer offered me a $389 a month payment with 2,700 down for a IS250 F Sport fully loaded just missing navigation. white ext. red leather interior. I'm beyond confused and I need to make a decision very soon. I would really appreciate your opinions and recommendations. Thanks.

Well, one thing to consider is that the 2015 C-class will be a full refresh, and from what's been released so far, it looks very interesting and is much improved over the current C-class. If I were leasing between these two cars, I'd rather get a redesigned IS-250 first for a 2-3 year lease, and then maybe switch off to the new C-class in 2016.

Also, if you value the smoothness and engine note of a V-6, get the 250 now as it may not be around if rumors are true about the 2L 4 Turbo.

It all comes down to what you are looking for in a car. For me I won't even consider the new C class because of that steering column mounted shifter alone, that just makes it look like an old man's car. And I have a problem with that tacked on Nav screen which disrupts the flow of the otherwise beautiful dash.

If lexus goes with a new engine in 2015 then that will lower the value of your car when you trade in in 2-3 years which might make you upside down. You never want to lease the last year model of a vehicle the residual value will be terrible. Of course you could go with a 350

Mercedes - Nice plush ride. Elegant but not sporty at all.
Lexus IS - Not as elegant so it has a younger generation feel and firmer more sporty ride.
Either way you will get a great car but it really depends what you are looking for more in a vehicle. Instead of getting tied up in car vs car this decision is where it comes down to driving style. How do you drive and how do you want to drive?
When is Lexus starting the Turbo line? The contact I know said RC350 would be the first but all the research I've done on my own says nothing of Turbo and already has Torque/HP figures for the RC350.
I might switch to lease if they're going Turbo next so please tell me all you know, TELL ME!
Actually I might not want Lexus' first gen Turbo but I still want to know!

It's not the 350 being replaced. It's the 250 that is said to be replaced with a turbo 4. I wish Lexus would upgrade the 350 with twin turbos lol, but that's not going to happen.

Curious, will the IS350 be getting an engine replacement next year as well?
And I agree with you KumaF, the way they just tacked on the navi screen is a huge turn off for me. I was initially thinking of picking up an A45 AMG, but the interior designing specifically the navi screen is a huge turn off for me. It seems like such an after thought.
