Tire buyers must be aware that tires has a life of 5 to 6 years (maximum is 10 years under ideal conditions).
Tire buyers may potentially purchase a "new" tire...but in reality the tire may be already 3 years old if that tire has been sitting on the shelf at a tire store for several years.

This issue is related to another Lexus RX350 forum named "Life of your spare tire is limited" and people should be aware that your spare tire may be dangerous to use.

This is true about the tires on the IS, because the fronts sit pigeon-toed. Although the tires last for an average of 15k-20k miles, my 2IS' tires lasted for a little over 45k miles. I may or may not drive like a grandma.
It all depends on how you drive your car, but extending the life of the tires can be done. I'm hoping I can do the same for my 3IS.
