I emailed Yakima again this week asking about an ETA on the rack system. I got the same response that they don't have an ETA and their people are working on new model fits for various new models..

I just got this message from Thule after emailing for the third time - very very disappointing - esp for those like me who have bought other attachments in preparation for the fit kit...

Thank you for contacting Thule! Unfortunately after extensive testing by our engineers, this car is deemed a no fit due to the fact that there is no safe place to attach the rack to the roofline of the vehicle. However, It may be possible for Thule to fit your car with a rear mount carrier (either hitch mounted or strap type) Thank you for the inquiry and have a great day!
