I had the same conclusion about the Q50 and why I didn't ever consider it.

For the most part I agree with this write up, but am surprised at his comments about the 335i being slow and down on power.

Been thinking about trading in my 2010 ES350 and for a 2014 is350 F Sport. This review is sure making me lean a little more!

That's the 335i's only strong point--its motor. The reviewer was on the money though, when it comes to the Bimmer's steering. The F30 328/335i's steering is truly horrible (their M suspension for the F30 is a huge step backwards as well).

I think you'd be happier with a car that doesn't have its motor sitting sideways in the engine bay. I used to worship at BMW's alter years ago (my last Bimmer being an E36 M3), but BMW lost their mojo with the F30. The IS 350 is a better car all around. I love mine.

I wounder why NO reviews I've seen to date has complained about the SLOW navigation/stereo console.

This has to be the WORST part of these IS'. I had my 5k earlier this week and my mechanic knows the firmware fix was only to stop the crashing and really did not fix the overall slowness. It's still slow especially if you use lexus suite applications.

Currently, there are no plans for any further fixes according to this mechanic.

Actually, the following Motor Trend review notes the nav issue, but they write it off as a pre-production issue. Sadly, it didn't turn out that way.

I like this review, but mostly because this is essentially my car (AWD, 350, non F Sport) but in a different color.

Default Appreciate the kind words

Hi guys,

Just happened to notice a bump in traffic in my historical Google Analytics, and I see that my write-up got some attention!

I truly appreciate the kind words; it really makes me feel encouraged to continue with my efforts on carsoholics.com!

Answering some of the comments below:

re: 335i:
The engine in the car is in my opinion a little disappointing... the car seems quick enough, but for around $50k, i think BMW can do a little better. The 435i seems downright clunky, I will be publishign a comparison between the RC, 435i and s5 within the week.

re: the navigation
It is really slow at first, but once the destination is inputed (destination assist is really good about this) it isnt as big of an issue.
