Special Order Negotiability
#2
Mine was a special order, 4k off sticker, $250 below invoice. Don't let them bully you into MSRP. Play hardball... More details here:

My car is a special order and I received invoice price BECAUSE it was a special order and would take 4 months. Find another dealer. If you are dealing with a Lexus dealer in Raleigh then that's the same story they gave me. Thus, I quickly moved on.

Hello all,
So, that's it; I've decided: it's the IS 350 for me! But now arises the tiresome question of what to pay for it.
This is the build I am proposing:
IS 350 (Non F-Sport) RWD
Luxury + Technology Package w/ Gray Wood Trim
ML Audio / Nav Package
Intuitive Park Assist
PCS w/ Dynamic Radar Cruise Control
Atomic Silver
Black Leather
I've been told in order to get these options regardless of color (I'm not married to this color combination.) that I will have to special order it. That's fine as I am not in desperate need of the car right away. In talking with two different dealerships, I've been told that they don't discount special order cars, so I will be paying MSRP. One offered me a $500 discount and the other a $1500 discount. In checking with Edmonds, et al., this is still quite aways off from invoice, which is ideally where I'd, like everyone I imagine, like to be.
Basically, the question is: what's the negotiability of special order cars like? Does anyone else have a dealer recommendation in the Southeast?
Thanks, and I look forward to hearing from you all.
