yeah, i did get pretty emotional about the whole thing and for now i've just backed away.

Like i said i was able to do the math and recreate the numbers he gave me, but when i try to calculate the term of the advertised offer, the only way i can make sense of it is to use a money factor/ interest rate of ZERO!!
the guy even told me the money factor though, which was HIGHER than what the dealership told me.

if someone could explain the advertised offer to me, that'd be awesome!

I was told by a moderator on the Edmunds IS250 Leasing forum that the Regional Advertised specials usually factor in a dealer discount of $1000 - 1500 off of MSRP. So maybe that will help you out.

Try running the numbers and see if it works.

$40,737 msrp
$39,273 sales price (1500 off)
