Default TrueCar Pricing

Has anyone used this and, if so, how satisfied were you that you got a good deal?

Looking at an IS 250 AWD Nav Premium Blind Spot. List is 43,953.

Use the search feature as there are many threads on what folks paid - prices seem to be better on the 'left' coast so note the location of the person replying.

I paid a lower price than the lowest price on Truecar. I would use it as a starting point of negotiation. Don't immediately bring the coupon in and think you got the best deal possible.

Yeah, I used truecar, however even truecar classifies my final deal as an "unusually low price" which in the end feels good. The main benefit of truecar is the itemized listing of invoice prices for all the option packages.

I used true car pricing as leverage against the dealer closest to me. My car stickered at $48.5k and I paid $44k.

I used truecar for my purchase. I am not one for all of the back and forth at the dealership and truecar eliminated that. Of course I know I did not get the best deal. But. as long as I am not paying MSRP, I am good.

The new C.E.O.. of Truecar is an ex Hyundai executive and all the adverting on Truecar is paid for by car manufacturers and car dealership. Take that info for what you will.

LOL. I'm big on conflict of interest and conspiracy theory's lately.

I used USAA's car buy program to get mine but they pull TrueCar data and discount it a little bit further but they guarantee their prices with dealers. I ended up getting my IS250 for about 1000 under invoice.
