ML Sound Settings for 2014 IS 350 F Sport
Sorry, I checked and searched and can't find an good answer on the setting..
Please kindly advise what is your best setting for Mark L's sound setting on an 2014 IS 350 F Sport?
I just can't figure out an good setting...
I play mostly MP3.... Final Fantasy, Initial D, Anime, Chinese, Japanese Musics..........
I see some people told me to turn off auto volume, turn off surround. etc.. but I really need some better answer such as +/- bass, mid etc...

Honestly, people are gonna tell you what sounds good to them.
Music is subjective. Some of my friends think iPod earbuds sound good, but I think they're horrible.
People have different ears. So just play around with the settings until you find what's right for you.
Personally, I turned off auto sound because its hella annoying that the sound level will change based on your speed. Call me old fashioned, but I like to control the volume myself.
Also, I turn the treble one bar up (to the right). I also leave surround on.
In my honest opinion, the ML system is not really impressive. It's slightly better than my Acura's ELS stock system. But it's a shame that its not earth-shattering awesome, since the ML is an upgrade.

I have the same opinion. the sound of my old IS250, though less powerful and fewer speakers, it was much better than my 300h is new.
moreover, listening to loud music, something in the doors or the dashboard vibrates causing a terribly annoying noise.
I think the spending review organized by the brand has affected something that in the past distinguished Lexus from other brands.
the result is that now the ML Premium Surround sistem of the new IS is only a decent system, nothing more.

It's all up to what your ears think sounds good. As long as you don't do the Treble +6 Mid +6 Bass +6 thing. (people who are uneducated in audio will be shocked to know that doing this is essentially the same as turning the volume up, but actually turning down the frequencies between bass and mid, and between mid and treble, which results in you hearing less of the original recording.)

If you guys have the ML in your is and you are hearing rattling it is most likely the switch panel in the drivers door. Take it in and let them know it is a common problem. They put felt tape in mine and tightened the screws and it's now perfect. My service guy said he is getting a lot of these complaints and they know what to do about it now.

Thank you!
Took my IS in for this.
Still, unimpressive for what their advertising.

15 GreenEdge high-efficiency speakers with inverted-motor
subwoofer 835-watt Class D amplifier).. smh.

I've come to the conclusion; There is a Burn in Period. Over the last two days the sound has changed dramatically. Still using my same source material. Even the Surround Setting sounds better than before.
Sources; CDs iPod Touch 5 Gen FLAC, Lossless and 320 Files
Treble +2, Mid +1, Bass -0-, Average Volume level 47, Fades Neutral, Surround On
Impressive

ML gives you more clarity as to what each individual instrument/part is playing. One big difference I noticed was when I listened to some hard rock music, the Mid is much clearer with the ML system.
Honestly it is no where near studio monitor quality, but it is already pretty good for a car stereo system.
Here is my EQ: Bass +3 ~ +5 (depending on the music), Mid +1, Treb +2 ~ +3

Whoo! Volume 47... some LOUD music you're playing haha
I have ML in my car, and as I drove a friend's non-ML IS, it just feels muddy. Not that the EQs don't work, but the clarity of sound coming from the speakers just isn't good.

.they are one of the best product in the market.
So, >>pretty good<< is not enough.
not enough for Mark Levinson,
not enough for Lexus.
who choose this two brands (especlally together) wants something more.
