get the nice car from random people once in a while, but other than that, the IS is a dime a dozen here in socal now. I only turn my head for Ferraris, Lamborghinis, and hot girls

+1 on strangers not giving compliments...must be a CA thing. Ha.
I've only had one drunk hillbilly say my car was nice. But he said it in more of a "you don't deserve it cuz you look like a punk kid" sort of way, so I just ignored him. Lol. Other than that luxury cars are pretty standard in my area and especially where I live, so no one usually cares.

That's true. The 3IS 350s are def more rare. I've actually started seeing a lot more 2IS 350s than I use to when I had mine. I think it's because they are getting cheaper (as they get older) so the younger gen is going for them now.

I've had my 3IS FSport since July 13' and even to this day I'm still getting nice compliments
I do get it washed on a regular basis so it's always nice and clean but it's good to know that it's still a looker even being out for so long !

Got my 3IS Fsport wrapped in September, that night I took her out on the town to my favorite bar. Some woman told me she loved my new "paint job" and moved her car out of the way so people could see it from the front window.
The color breaks necks here in Toronto.

IS, ES, and RXs are everywhere in Sarasota, FL...no compliments.
I hardly got compliments on my M3 and it was a loud car with an even louder color (interlagos is very reflective). You basically have to own a Porsche or some other more prestige brand in Sarasota to be noticed. ES350's are Toyota Camry's here (they are everywhere), 3 series? (yawn), C-class (ditto), IS? (ditto), RX350? your in the ghetto if you don't see at least 3 on every section of block. I could go on, but that's the "price" you pay to live here.

When I brought the car home my wife was telling me I got a car that looks like a Camry. This was before the new Camry came out. It used to **** me off a little but of course I did not let on that it bothered me :/ Now that the new Camry has come out she is like, "I cant believe Lexus let Toyota do that. Now the cars look the same. How do you tell the better car?" I try telling her that this is a rear wheel drive performance sedan that really shares nothing in common...but...she just gives me the look like I am crazy. Oh well.
