My New IS350 (With Sales Figures)
Hi all,
I've been on these boards religiously for the last couple months learning about the do's and don'ts of leasing and wanted to share my recent experience as appreciation for the knowledge I gained from the CL forum.
Yesterday I pulled the trigger on a lease at Keyes Lexus in SoCal. Details as follows:
2014 IS350 F-Sport w/ Mark Levinson, BSM, Preferred accessory package (wheel locks, cargo next in the trunk, rear bumper aplique)
-Nebula Exteior
-Rioja Red Interior
MSRP: $48,298
True Car Gaurantee: $43,010 (about 11% off MSRP).
Trade in: $500 (1998 Integra with 144k miles)
Adjusted Cap Cost: $42,510
(Additionally I added the excess wear and tear package after we agreed on the final price of the car)
MF: .00085 (Tier 1+)
Residual: 70%
Term: 27 Months
Mileage: 12k annually
Monthly payment: $550.
Besides the trade in, I put $0 down and was only responsible for first month's payment to drive the car off the lot. The experience was much easier than I thought it would be and I would recommend working with Yanci at the dealership. I only expected to go in for a test drive but since they honored the true car price which I thought was pretty great and had the very rare color combo of Nebula with red leather (last one on the lot), I had to do it.

The extra wear and tear was $775 and it is essentially a waiver of up to $7500 in damages when you return the vehicle.
Straight from the brochure it states that it covers the following:
-Each single event valued at $2,000 or less,
-Each missing part or equipment valued at $250 or less.
-Up to a maximum of $7,500 in total excess wear and charges.
I know they always want to up sell on these options and additions but when the finance manager told me how much it costs to replace a single scratched rim or new tire I figured it would be a worthwhile addition.

You traded an integra in for $500 in California?
That car is easily worth 2000-3000 on the used private market.
Shoot I would've given you $1000 right now for it.
Congrats on the purchase though
