I just drive normal dont beat on it but dont baby it. Heck when you buy an LFA they dyno the engine before installing in the car and then the entire car afterwards.
really conflicted now, im in my break-in period now, i've been driving it in eco mode not revving past 3k.
Been driving high ways and local.
This is just my opinion, but I would not sweat it too much. Our engines have been around quite some time and, to my knowledge, excessive oil consumption has not been an issue over their normal lifetimes.
I was more concerned about following the break-in procedures discussed on this thread and elswhere when my wife got her Audi convertible a few years back. The engine used in that car has been known to use oil, although that issue has improved in recent model years. Thirty thousand miles later: no oil consumption.
Yet, as I said, I really doubt that you will have issues with your Lexus because you did not employ "special" procedures to seat the piston rings.
