How do you...?

Make the home screen be your default screen when the car starts.
Make the shortest distance be the default setting when you engage adaptive cruise control

I don't have an answer to your second question, but the answer to your first is: you can't--at least not on the USA cars. Makes absolutely no sense to have a "home" screen that isn't a default setting.
