Default Need some insight on rim repair. NYC members please read.

so i curbed one of my rims today =(. 7months in and i am always so careful but **** happens. what can you do. now i would like to go about fixing it because with these dark rims they show up a lot. Got quoted 150 to redo the entire rim because they guy said the fsport color is hard to match so he is going to strip the rim down, paint it and clear coat it. will take one day.

what do you guys think about this? any other cost effective ways to fix this? i would leave it but i know its going to bother me everytime i see it, so id rather pay and get it fixed.

additionally to all my NYC members, do you guys have any reccomendations for a place who repairs curb rash? any help would be greatly appreciated. i also don't mind driving out to long island

Thanks!

If you're planning to change rims eventually I would say just get touch up paint to mask off the curb rash, of course depending how bad the rash is as well.

This color matches our F-Sport Hyper Black rims

I know so because I had a curb rash too, it wasn't that bad and I'm planning to change the wheels so that's why I saved the money towards the new wheels and just got the touch up paint.

Pick up a can of DupliColor Wheel Paint - graphite - you will be amazed how close the color match is - then use the DupliColor Wheel clear. Just spot paint the area damaged. Advance Auto sells the paint.
