How do people mount their radar detectors? I just ordered a passport 9500 and all i envision is it sunction cupped to the windshield with the power cord hanging down in an annoying way. I will not have the time to hard wire the detector in the coming months, so was wondering it was possible to mount it really low so the power cord just lays on the dash or if I should buy an iOttie One Touch universal holder and sunction cup it to the dash.

Get a blend mount and hang it from your mirror. Then get a stealth cord mirror tap for power its about $10 - thats how i have it mounted.
