As far as the instruction, you could try to get away without drilling it. That's how the factory would do as they would do this if you want the proper installation. I know for the previous generation, people could get away without drilling.

Except the difference is that fashion is mostly about aesthetics, whereas many of the unavailable features in the US (w/ F-Sport anyway) actually serve some functional utility:
- "parking assist" would be quite beneficial, especially in the front to help preserve that F-Sport grill(!)
- "lane departure alert" can help prevent unintentional swaying
- "fog lamps" assist with visibility in certain suboptimal weather conditions
- "automatic high beams" can help prevent blinding drivers of oncoming cars
- "auto intermittent wipers" would be a nice convenience feature
- "power/memory seats/steering column/mirrors" are a great convenience to many people
- (etc.)
...in crippling the F-Sport options for the US market (likely so that they can be announced as "upgrades" in future model years), Lexus has arguably made the IS a less convenient, safe, and fun car vs in other markets! Oh well, I'm sure I'm still gonna love my 2015 IS350 AWD F-Sport once it arrives (just not as much as I could have, if optioned the way I would've wanted it!)...

No parking assist? Funny how what one didn't need before but now find it a really neat feature to have. It's come in handy that's for sure.
Now only if they would bump the HP to 350+

Just my opinion, I think the rear spoiler looks wrong on the 3IS. On the 2IS body style, I felt it looked naked and too plain without it. But, the rear lip looked flush with the trunk and like it was part of the car. This option looks bolt-on to me. Plus, the 2IS body style in it's initial incarnation was fairly plain, so things like the spoiler and some of the later additions added some charisma and appeal to it. But the 3IS was born with a lot of charisma built into the basic body design, and trying to add more lines just for upsell purposes starts to make it look a little too busy.
The reason the rear spoiler looked great on the 2IS, I think was because the trunk was mostly straight or downsloping looking without it. The 3IS already has its *** in the air, turned up a little. It doesn't need a bolt-on Brazilian butt lift or whatever -- cheapens the look.
As I said, one man's opinion only

Glad I included the spoiler on my custom build - can't wait to see what this looks like in Atomic Silver...

I'm pretty sure Lexus North America will slowly add those features in a bit at a time in the coming years & pretend to call it progress...

Somebody mentioned that the 2015 factory spoiler is available on Sewell already, so I just checked and found that they actually have several options available...
2015 factory spoiler (the one I posted in the original post) - 1st pic below:
http://is.sewellparts.com/accessorie...2015/2055.html
$283.50 ($201.50 member pricing)
...available in Starfire Pearl, Ultra White, Nebula Gray Pearl, Silver Lining Metallic, Atomic Silver, Obsidian, Matador Red Mica, Deep Sea Mica
TRD spoiler (Toyota Racing Development) - 2nd and 3rd pics below:
http://is.sewellparts.com/accessorie...2015/6991.html
$795 ($643.95 member pricing)
...available in Ultra White, Atomic Silver, Obsidian
another Lexus(?) spoiler - 4th and 5th pics below:
http://is.sewellparts.com/accessorie...2015/6984.html
$995 ($805.95 member pricing)
...available in Ultra White, Starfire Pearl, Nebula Gray Pearl, Silver Lining Metallic, Atomic Silver, Obsidian, Matador Red Mica
Not sure why they differ in pricing so drastically, or why each one has different color availability, but just letting you guys know in case any of you are interested!

Those tailpipe tips are just begging to morph into RC tips for 2017.
