Now that my tints are done, anyone have any other suggestions for modifications?
Not looking to do too too much, as the car is leased.
Thanks!
Clear bra the front if you want it to stay pretty. These cars have super soft paint and attract rocks like flies to fresh poop (because they are so low Im assuming). Some people will say not to do it on a lease but hey you tinted a leased car which is essentially sort of the same thing just different part of the cars body.
Oh and its also good in case 2-3 years from now you decide to buy out the lease you will have a non chipped front end.

Thanks, my good man, but just can't bring myself to add anything like that. I understand the purpose, but it'd bother me, yet somehow I'd be less upset with a rock chip here or there; strange, right?
I had the 35/20 combo on my previous IS. 35% on all side windows, 20% on rear window. Honestly, there isn't a huge difference between the transition, unless you inspect it closely from different angles. My interior was black.
If you don't have a sunshield, I'd definitely recommend going darker on the rear tint. Like I said, my 2IS had 20% on the rear window, but I still had my sunshield up almost all the time (except when I drove at night).
Ha. I think you had your tints done at Sunshield on Van Nuys boulevard. That's where I go for the last 17 years. Hami is the best!! My car is 20% all around.
How do the owner's with red interiors feel about the tint now allowing the red to be seen from outside?

Doesn't bother me because you can see the red from the front. But it's a wow factor when you open the door and you end up seeing the red interior! My show people the car I get the "wow" expression on their faces
I want to get my windows tinted but I'm having trouble deciding which tint to get and how dark. Can anybody who's had this done already give me their thoughts please and post pics if possible? Thanks in advance.
I have 35% on windshield and 5% all around. Interior is black. I try to get more pics tomorrow during the day.
i am all for dark tint, i have 20% all around and a 5% brow on the top of the W/S but 35 on the WS is dangerous, at night you'll miss anything without lights, like maybe a parked car in the middle of the highway with no lights on.
and your a magnet for a ticket. good luck with that!
i can't see behind me with 20% on the sides and back unless whatever is behind me has headlights.
i can't see nearly as good as i would like when backing up and the camera is not detailed enough at night for real piece of mind.
therefore 5% is way too dark to see behind me.
20% in the day time you cannot see anyone in the car so i don't see the point in doing 5% all around.
