The ram's windows will seem lighter with 20 percent tint due to the large amount of light entering the windshield and the larger windows. My tint guy has the option of 20 and 30. I'm afraid 20 will be too dark and hard to see at night and in our underground parkade. But I'm afraid 30 will be way too light compared to what I'm used to and will have wasted my money. Any suggestions?? Thanks!!

20% all around on a bright sunny day, depending on where you are it can be kind of tough to see at night out the windows. My last car had 20% and was just as difficult to see at night, no difference from car to car in that regard

I think mine is 35% all around, it was already tinted when I bought it.

Will there be a visible difference between 30% and 35% tint?

Default Window tint % Recommendations

Hey Guys,

I'm planning to get my windows tinted this week with 3M Ceramic tint for all 5 windows ~$200, and I am uncertain on the % of tint I should be getting.

I know in Cali, it is illegal for the front 3 windows to be tinted. But, I'm seeing that 35% shouldn't be a problem.

I'm not trying to draw much attention that get pulled over. My goal is to just minimize the heat in the car.

Do you guys think a lighter tint like 50% is good enough to reduce heat? and not get pull over for dark tint?

I got a white is350.

go 5% rear and 35% front.

What color is your car?

Its white. I've seen pics that a lighter car would make the tint look darker than it is. Plus, I got all black interior including the headliner.

My originally thought is 35% all around, but I'm thinking it may be too dark and draw attention.

Just had my wife's Atomic F Sport done with 35% all around and it looks really nice. I'm not a big fan of the blacked out look, and the 35% plus the factory tint looks really nice.

I would say 35% would be your best bet, anything else would just be too light.

I'm probably doing 35% all around next week. I think it looks cleaner.

Any problems with the cops having 35% all around?

I'm not really going for looks. The 35% does look nice tho. But rather block that hot *** summer heat.
