2018 IS300h
Lumarai Morro
Rear: 20x10 ET 44, Nankang NS-2 255/30
Front: 20x8,5 ET 37, Nankang NS-2 225/30
Dropped on RS-R Downs
Rubs a little inner fender in the rear when hitting big dips. Mostly rides just fine, no complaints!

Its a nice rim that I can use on a variety of cars. Don't get me wrong though there are tons of other rims that look good and fit the IS. Just a personal preference. Its just a shame they've stopped making them and of the ones that they did make, the fitment is right for the IS. If I end up keeping the IS long term I might just do a video series of me shaving the rim down, heat treating it, and powder coating it to the perfect fitment. Appreciate all the insight and knowledge youve given me in the last few days
You should have no problem with the fronts rubbing on the fender but i’m not sure about the control arms and all the suspension stuff. Im running a 19x8.5 +30 up front on 225s and lowered on ark springs with no rubbing. I do scrape my bumper a lot though because the arks have a really aggressive drop.

Congrats on the wheels!
If the offsets are correct, then the front you could run a 225/35/19 or a 235/35/19 (i would recommend the bigger tire).
The rear offset is a little low...the tire may rub on the fender depending how low you have the car. I would go with a 255/30/19 as your best bet to clear the fender.

Hey guys

I’m looking at getting a set of SSR’s GTV01. I currently have a 2017 IS200t (non-fsport). Would these fit?

Front: 18x8.5 +40, 225/40/18
Rear: 18x9.5 +45 (also has +22), 255/35/18

Thanks

The front may or may not clear the caliper based on rim design. Adding a small spacer would correct that if it did touch the caliper.
The rear rim specs are fine.
All the tires would be stretched.

Thanks for answering so quickly. I might look for some other rims in that case. For that size in the fronts, it should be around +35 or +38?

What tyre sizes would u recommend?
Front: 235/40/18
Rear: 265/35/18

Thanks again

+35 for the front would be good. With the big calipers in the front, rim design always plays a factor...spoke design can make one rim that is +35 fit, and another that is +35 not fit.
The likelihood is, at +35, you will be fine though. In my signature you will see I have spacers in the front...because my 20x8.5 +35 don't fit as the spokes don't curve enough when they initially leave the center portion.

The new tire sizes you quoted would be an appropriate fit.
I should correct myself from my last post...the tires would all be stretched, but it would be a 'slight' stretch.
The larger sizes you quoted would give a nicer ride and look a little beefer.
Realistically you could use both, but it will come down to ride quality, road conditions (lots of potholes or not), and personal preference.

You need a medal for your contribution to this thread. Thanks for the explanations, it's very helpful.

I'll try to go for the bigger tyres in that case, roads here are shocking and not planning on lowering the car even though I'm not a fan of the wheel gap.

Looking to buy Work Emotion T7R's. Will this set up work? 2015 is250 F Sport AWD - Airlift - Universal Air Bags. Will I be able to fully air out?

F: 19x8.5 +38 / is a 9.5 possible in the front?
R: 19X9.5 +38

Tire size recommendations? Also feel free to advise better specs if needed. Thanks.
