That's definitely weird cause a lot of people run 235/35/19 even on lowered cars and are fine.
Put a 10mm spacer in and you should be good. If for some unknown reason it is still rubbing, a heat gun and wet rag on the fender liner where it's touching will fix it.
Use the heat gun to warm the liner up, and then push it in as needed with the wet rag, which will help shape it as it cools it down.

WHOA! Great idea! Thanks! I’ll update this reply as soon as I try the 5mm and the 10mm this weekend.

Is the IS lowered or not?
Realistically the answer is likely no...the offset is just a little below what would fit...you'd need +38 or higher.

I ended up settling and I do mean settling with some Avid.1 AV20 wheels in hyper black. They weren't my first choice, but I feel like our wheel options are kind of slim unless you want to pay for the real deal wheels (unfortunately I cannot).

Finally got em on! With a 10mm H&R spacers, has to replace the stock lugs thou. But everything is good now, no vibrations nor weird noises. Steering feels lighter. Thanks for your help Sasnuke.

my buddy got 19x8.5 +38 up front and 19x9.5 +35 in the rear and wants to do 235/35 all around. he’s awd. this works fine right? my other suggestion was to stick to staggered 225/35 255/30

Seems like it'd be a stretch in the rear with a 235 square setup... Your suggestion sounds better to me.

Gonna be some rubbing in the rear with that +35.
Is it lowered or not?

Short answer...no. If you want 10.5 in the rear you will need at least +45. For +38 the widest you can safely go is 9.5.

Hey Sasnuke (Or anyone else)
Been reading all of your responses and seem to have vast knowledge on the IS line up
Just picked up a 2018 3IS FSport (RWD), looking to swap out the rims with some 3-piece wheels (Leon Hardiritt Ordens), not a fan of stance type so going with a more safe setup.
Was looking into using
Fronts
235/35/19
19x9.0 +33

Rear
245/30/19 or 255/30/19
19x9.5 +38

Would i have any rubbing issues if i were to lower it on some RSR coils maybe about 1in - 1.25in max, i don't mind a minor wheels gap just for passenger as i normally have 1-2 passengers at all times.
Was using this chart on Min Tire size as i just want minor stretch is all.
https://www.tyresizecalculator.com/c...rim-size-chart

Any help would be appreciative

Default 19x9.5 +40

I have a 2014 is350 fsport rwd stock suspensions. First time buying rims and tires. I was told for a 19x9.5 +40 on the rear that they reccomend a tire size of 255/30. But here i see alot of people running 265/30. Which is a better fit? Looking for a smooth ride. Thanks.

Either or will be fine. 265-30 gives more rim protection but 255 will give a better ride.
