I bought the set used and these are the tires that just happen to be on them. I'm on stock suspension and it only barely rubs when I do a full turn. I shouldn't really have a problem to run with this for this season right? Won't be driving much during the pandemic.
If it's rubbing on full turns, I'm going to guess it's rubbing on the front of the fender liner...I assume you can see where it's rubbing.
That's usually due to a wheel that's too big in diameter.
Dropping from a 255/35/19 to a 255/30/19 should correct that.
Realistically if that's the only place it's rubbing, you could just leave it cause really how often are you at full lock turning.
finally got some decent close ups after a Car Wash today:
Looking good.
Just an FYI...if you want to get rid of the adhesive from the old wheel weights, spray it with a little brake cleaner and the scrape it with a plastic trim tool.
You don't need to aggressive as the brake cleaner will do most of the work, and the plastic trim tool will prevent the rim from getting scratched.
You can test it on that old adhesive near the back of the rim first to see.

@mosu Welcome to the forum.
Nice wheels...I like the yellow center caps. Looks good against the red...kinda like a Ferrari vibe.
hey, thanks
I just painted them gray, since I was thinking that yellow has nothing to do with the car, hehe
check it out
Personally I liked the yellow better...but that's me.
Maybe I say that because the centercap paint is not an exact match to the wheel color.
The rims look good though.
Hey guys, considering aftermarket wheels for my IS. Mine is a base model and after comparing tire costs between 17 and 18 in tires I'm thinking of doing a 17in square setup (255/40/17 Advan Sport A/S+ are $132 compared to $191 for 255/35/18). Car is stock height and will never be lowered. Would 17x9 +38 with 255/40 tires cause any issues? Looking at the work emotion kiwamis in the deep concavity, so not sure if spoke clearance or inner suspension on the tire is going to be my issue. Don't want any rubbing, but also don't want the tires sticking out past the fenders. If that isn't guaranteed fitment I'll probably just do 17x8 with my stock 225/45 tires and then go to 235/45 when those wear out.
