I've got a 2014 IS250 AWD F sport. Is 19x8.5+35 with 265/30/19 on stock suspension too aggressive for the rear? I don't want any rubbing but also don't want to drive on rubber bands due to PTSD from the 3 bent stock wheels currently on my car. Lowering may also be considered for the future so I would like the wheel to be compatible. I know +40 offset is optimal but I'm trying to stay on budget wheels to help deter theft and there aren't many options in the +40 offset.
Also, is there a difference between 265/30/19 and 255/30/19 in terms of performance or preventing bent wheels? I ran the numbers and the differences seem negligble so I assume its merely to avoid rubbing. Any other advice is appreciated, thanks!
So Discount Tire was installing my new rims and wheels today. They managed to put a rear rim on the front and a front on the rear on one side. They went to bring my car around and thus ensued a lovely screeching sound of the front rim scratching my caliper cover. I watched and said I new the clearance on the 350's larger front braked was close but should definitely fit (I did an 8.5 +32 rim), weird it only happened on one side. Turns out they didn't check which wheel went where, and missed the difference in size and easily visible concavity difference between the front and rears. They also failed to make sure the wheel would spin freely while car was lifted which is standard procedure I was told. Damage to the rim was only on the backside, so not noticeable and I'll drive on it until the replacement comes (replacing it for free, obviously). At least now I will have a free backup rear rim should something go wrong years down the road. The most annoying part is I painted my calipers so now it looks like a bear clawed through my front caliper.
Another (now) funny point is that when the car was initially backed out, after the terrible scratching sound, the guy was like just pull back in, to which I said yeah probably don't do that just put it in park.

Did you mean 19x9.5 +35? Commonly you would use a 255/30 or 265/30 with a 9.5.
i plan on going lower
any tire size suggestions?
(keep in mind i like low tread wear tires)
Another member has the exact wheels as yours, he's using 255/35/18.
For the rear 18x9.5 +38 that I have, I use 265/35/18.
I like the Firestone Firehawk tires.

We are sorry to learn of the experience you had at the store. It sounds like the store is taking care of you, however if there is anything we can do on our end to be of assistance please feel free to reach out to us here.
@rhdjose Maybe I should clarify that...I do not have a square setup...only my rear rims are 18x9.5 +38 with 265/35/18.
My front wheels are 18x8.5 +35 with 235/40/18.
If you are running a square setup for rims, there is no point running staggered tires.
