Thank you all for helping me get this fitment on my IS. Unfortunately the 4cyl wasn't doing it for me, so I moved on to something else. I am selling the wheels and tires in case anyone here is interested:
Wheels: Rohana RFX11 in Brushed Titanium 5x114.3
Tires: Michelin
Front:
19x8.5 +35 offset
Tires: 235/35 19
Rear:
19x9.5 + 40 offset
Tires: 265/30 19
I am asking for $1600 for everything. Located in SoCal.
Looking to replace my current 20" rims with something more pot hole friendly. I have 20" Lumanari Riviera's with 245/30ZR20 on the front and 275/30ZR20 on the back.
I've decided on 18" Aodhan DS02's. I have a 2014 IS350 F Sport RWD. I think it's stock suspension, but I don't know for sure, as we've only had it for a few months.
Anyway, I'd like to do 18x8.5 +35 on the front. For the rears, I'd like to do 18x9.5 but they only offer it in +30 and not +35. I've seen this exact setup on a 2IS, does that mean that it'd fit ok on mine?
Also, what size tires would you suggest? I'm not a fan of the stretched look.
My experience is limited but I remember I came across that fitment when I was shopping however it was a bit sketchy for my personal taste. These cars are all running that fitment in Aodhans and they're doing it lowered so you might be able to get away with it. The white one is tucked in there pretty good too. Rubbing probably comes down to tire size and brand. No examples at stock height tho, but you'd probably be safer the higher your car sits.
To preface, I can't give you a solid answer because my first set of wheels are still on order so I don't have enough experience, only a lot of research. From what I gathered, 265 is already pushing it for +35 offset, so +30 might be a nail biter. Tire brand becomes a HUGE factor when you're cutting it this close. Because of this, I ordered +38 to give myself some more breathing room and I plan to run 265/35 on stock suspension, also for pot hole reasons. You can scroll up a few posts to read about tire brands, but basically not all brands are created equal and they have an example where a 245 in one brand can be wider than a 255 in another.
If I had to run that offset, I would probably go with a more conservative size so that I'm not stuck with rubbing or 2 unusable tires. You can find actual measurements of specific tires on TireRack.
If you're not stuck on the DS02, ESR recently released the CS8, which is a similar design but without the lip. It comes in 18x8.5 +30 and 18x9.5 +35, which would give you some more wiggle room in the rear.

This would be with the Aodhan DS02:
F - 18X8.5 +35
R - 18X9.5 +30
The setup and specs you are proposing are almost exactly what I run.
I have 18x8.5 +35 235/40/18 and 18x9.5 +38 265/40/18 lowered on RSR Downs.
A 265/35/19 tire doesn't exist, so if you want a 265, it will have to be a 40.
With the +38 on the rear and a 265 it's already super close and I'm even running a narrower Firestone Firehawk tire.
I can't imagine a 9.5 +30 fitting without rubbing with a 265. Some have reported rubbing on a 9.5 +35 already, so going to a +30 isn't going to make it better.
I've seen some of Fitment Industries posts and I'm absolutely leery of the accuracy of the specs they post. Based on real world experience vs what they post there seems to be a definite discrepancy...I've pretty much ruled them out in terms of accuracy.
If you want to go 18x9.5 +35 with a 255 tire and maybe through in a prayer or two, I think that's you best option in the rear to avoid rubbing...and pick a narrow tire too.
Wow that is really nice. I have the same model and color on order and they should arrive this month. My car is also white so thanks for the preview. I even got the same center caps!
If you don't mind me asking, what are your tire specs? And are you lowered?

any of you guys running 19s and having some horrible luck with potholes? i'm running some 225/40/19 tires on some 19x8.5 wheels... i might bump it up to 235/35/19 to see if that gives me any added protection around the rim.
What your suggesting is actually reducing the tire sidewall height - increasing the likelihood that the edge of a pothole could contact the rim. You probably want a tire that is designed with a wheel protector. That said, some wheel lips stick out further than others, so there's no guarantee that a tire will protected unless you know the specs of the wheel lip and the tire protector.
225/40 has a 89 mm sidewall height
235/35 has a 81 mm sidewall height

235/40 or am I just ****ed on potholes? I mean all it takes is one pothole on the highway and I’m ****ed.

A 235/40 is 94mm sidewall. You can see that 94 - 89 is only a 5mm sidewall height difference, which is pretty small. I'm not saying it won't help, but probably not worth changing tires just for that small of a sidewall height change. I would opt for a tire with a rim protector too if I was going to change tires.
