It's especially handy if your 3-piece wheel is rare or out of production, you can re-barrel or easily refinish the face. Example: https://www.instagram.com/reel/CJrji...=1xgbw9d49zu1t

Will a square setup of gram lights 57dr 18x9.5 +38 clear on my '14 is350 awd? I know it may rub and such, But I just want to know if it clears big brakes and any of the suspension components. Thanks!

By the numbers they should fit no problem without any rubbing. You can use a 255/35/18 tire.
I don't think anyone has put that exact size on the front before...but only a few people on the forum have 9.5 in the front.

When everyone says "they should fit without rubbing" does that include not rubbing while having a family of 4 in the car? Asking for a friend.....

I can't speak for everyone, but generally when I say that it would be a yes to a family of 4.
Other times I will explicitly say with passengers and cargo in the trunk it may rub.
When you say family of 4 it's also subjective...these cars aren't known for their spacious rear seats...so family of 4 usually means 2 kids in the back. Obviously if you stuff two full grown adults back there is may be a different outcome.

Anyone have experience with 18x9.5 +38 squared on Michelin PS4S, particularly 255/35/18 or bigger? Got an IS250 AWD on stock suspension. Thanks!

I love the work wheels. Easily my favorite of the 3.

Hey, I also just got a set of these wheels. Were you able to use the original TPMS?

Default Wheels not clearing brake caliper

Can anyone tell me why wheels can’t clear my front brake caliper on my 2014 IS 350. The wheels have a +35 offset but I need a 25mm spacer and still needs a a couple mm to clear? Something seems just not right. Is it the ESR brand? I’m clueless

wheels are ESR SR 04 19x9.5 +35 for fronts

The offset is only one thing to consider in the clearance, the spoke design is also important.
While by the numbers it should have fit, that particular rim has a very flat face because of the large lip, which makes it a bad option for big brakes.
I also had a 20x8.5 +35 that also wouldn't clear the calipers because of the spoke design, but all I needed was a 6mm spacer.

so it’s the spoke design. Instead of wheels with a lip, concave must be better choice. That blows kinda limited

You can get rims with a lip, but you'd need an actual 3 piece rim where you can choose an offset appropriate to the disc (face) of the rim that allow it to clear the caliper.
Ultimately the disc ends up comes out almost as far as the lip, but you still have the lip in the end.
