Default Obsidian Black or Silver Lining IS350 FSport?

I am in the process of getting my first Lexus. Came over from a 335i msport.
Wanted to get your guys' feedback on the two, as I am able to get a stellar deal on the 2014 is350 fsport in either black or silver. I kinda wished there was a 2014 in atomic silver around here...Im leaning towards the silver lining I think

I'd second silver linings metallic. Also it's a lower maintenance color than obsidian, but not as heavily optioned as Obsidian or Ultra White.

go with the silver. i wish i had. although the black looks super sleek and sharp, you won't have fun maintaining the car to avoid swirls and scratches, unless you're big into detailing and **** about your washing methods.

silver...much easier to maintain than black. With tinted windows and dark wheels, I think silver can look really sharp

Silver. I own a black IS350 F-Sport and the maintenance is a struggle. As much as I love the car, it feels like I took on a 2nd job.

I chose one with Silver Lining Metallic. I love it, no regrets. Like others have stated, I too think it's easier to maintain long term and looks great with tints. Silver may have better resell value too when I decide to sell it in 25 years.

Silver. Black is a pain in the *** and only looks good when it is clean. I had two black cars and will never go back.

Ended up actually getting the black. The silver had 1,300 miles on it and was used as a test drive car...didn't find out till I was about to go to the dealer

Probably made the right move, im sure the 1300 miles were on the tough side when used as a demo. Just get some quality car washing materials, two buckets for sure or a bucket with grit guard, use light pressure, rinse washing mitt after every spot you clean. Try avoiding using a circular motion when washing the car, make your motions front to back on the hood, roof and trunk and up and down on the sides will help a lot swirl marks are harder to see when they are straight lines. I have a Matador red and the paint is like brand new. Good luck with the car

Nooooooooo! Haha, just kidding. Congrats on the purchase. If I may, in addition to the washing methods toyotatom suggested, you may want to look into some type of ceramic paint coating (Opti-Coat, CQuartz, etc.) for added protection. Lexus/Toyota paint and clear coat seem to be on the softer side, so they tend to mar easier.

Make sure that you clear bra the entire front end bumper, hood, fenders and mirrors. I'm going back soon to have them do the whole fender. Currently I only have about 12" of the front of each fender done.
