0 to 60 times in IS350 FSport? I'm getting 6.3-7 secs...
I know the IS350 isnt a drag racing car or anything, but am curious what is the real 0 to 60 of this car. I just took out my is for a spin and I was getting anywhere from ~6.3 to 7 secs. It was about 80 degrees outside. Seems a bit slow, no?

How are you coming up with those numbers?

It's a 4000lb car with 300 hp. 6 seconds is pretty reasonable. If you wanted a performance car, you picked the wrong car. Maybe 5.5 if you know want you're doing is possible.
What were you expecting?

I performed three back to back 0-60 runs with avg time of 5.46 seconds by turning off the air conditioner, traction control and vehicle stability control, putting the car into sport or sport+, leaving the transmission in automatic drive, and launching the car normally without any brake+rev type of assist using two feet. I'm at sea level and temerature was appx 65 degrees F.

The pursuit of F
Best time I got with my 250 is 7.4s. The 350 is about 2 seconds faster so you can do better! However, it's not going to beat a 335i.

To turn off vehicle stability control you press and hold the TRAC/VSC button for appx 4 seconds until the VSC OFF light shows on the multi-information display. This is on my 2015 IS350. Instructions are given on pg. 242 of my owners manual.

Building on turning off Traction control and VSA...
I believe the car must be at a stop when your holding the button to turn it off completely, otherwise it's a partial disengagement

6.3-7.0 sec seems really off to me. Even the 3IS' came equipped with crappy tires, the 350's should at least be good for 5.5 sec, MT was able to get 5.3 sec out of their long term 350 AWD though. So you might see some improvements by switching to better tires and lighter wheels. BTW, our stock wheels weight 28 lb each

How are you measuring this? It also helps to ensure that the road is completely level with no changes in elevation as that will affect the numbers.

What instrument have You used for this record? My best 0-100 km/h result was just 8.77 seconds with Sport Mode, about a half full fuel tank, empty trunk, no passengers, 95 octane gasoline, 25 C degrees outside temp, dry road, warmed tires. I used properly working, tried and tested GPS based performance meter. Your result is almost 1.4 seconds faster - a terrible difference!
