Default What are the odds that us 2014 owners get Siri Eyes in a software update?

Bought my 2014 last April and I haven't followed this forum much since then. But I recently read the changes in the 2015 and noticed it now has Siri Eyes. Seems like an easy enough thing to implement but I'm curious if Lexus has said anything about giving it to us 1st gen. adopters? Or will they hold out on it so they can use it as a selling point for the 2015?

Don't hold your breath. Lexus rarely updates software to add new features.

How do you know if you have Siri Eyes?

I think holding down the voice prompt button on steering wheel should activate it.

Hold down the phone button on your steering wheel for about 5 seconds. The one on the left side (I forget if its answer or hang up). You'll hear a beep and you'll see the apple microphone on your nav screen. From my exp it doesn't work very well. I typically have to take my phone out of my pocket and use it manually to get what I want accomplished.

If you have a 2014 you got screwed, because Lexus will not add support for Siri Eyes, Remote Start, ventilated seats/heated steering wheel. On the upside, you probably paid a lot less for your 2014 IS as they had larger discounts last year.

I asked and was told the '14s cannot get it without a new agreement between Lexus and Apple. I doubt that will happen.
