Blown Amp

Blown Amp
So I got my car back in December and the very first day I had the car my sound system suddenly cut out and stopped working. (I have the ML system).
I took the car back to the dealer the following day, and after a bit of investigating they found out it was the Amplifier that was blown.
They took an Amp from one of the Show Room cars and replaced it, and I have not had any issues since.
Just now I received a call from my dealership asking me to bring the car in.
Apparently Lexus sent them a replacement amplifier and told them that they have to put the amplifier in my car back into the showroom car and put the replacement in my car. The reason they are doing this is because each system has a serial number that is associated with the each car.
Has anyone else had any similar issues, or heard of this?
