I think the analog clock is classy looking! As far as a place to put your phone, put it up in the shelf by the nav screen. I lay mine down flat there. As far as the cup holders being in an inconvenient location, I had major shoulder surgery 10 weeks ago and have no issue getting any beverage out of either one of them.

The blinkers are a none issue and I actually like them. This is by far the nicest car I ever drove or owned. I have no regrets on purchasing it. Different strokes for different folks.

are the tires that bad? i cant tell. maybe cuz i only do daily driving?

i know reviews are suppose to dissect every little thing but some of the things mentioned are too picky. Yeah some things take some time to get used to, like the turn signals, but they are 'FEATURES' i would rather have them than not even though at first they take getting use to.

The cup holders i believe are a trade off for the AWESOME elbow rest car has. Just like my old 95 MR2 but it had no cup holders at all.

This car handles like my 2 seater 1000+ pounds lighter sport coupe AND has luxury and is faster.

Tires are fine for what the car does. Sure, you can always use stickier tires. However it might be too much on a stock suspension.

Overall, there are much better options. I plan to put a pair of Pilot super sports when my OE tires are gone. I've prices them out on Tirerack and to my surprise, they are significantly cheaper on the IS350 than my previous G35 coupe. For $1k, those things are absolutely worth it.

I disagree. These were the OEM tires on my last car and they were horrible then. The tires just get louder as times goes on. The front tires lasted less than 15,000 miles then. Same thing is happening now. For the price of these tires, they should perform much better.

Life-cycle of the tire is entirely up to how you drive and your suspension setup. And factory tires are always going be more expensive and suck.

Either way, I was talking about purely performance handling aspect of these tires. These tires will do just fine on 99% of jobs unless you are adding more power or stiffer suspension. Again, not saying these tires are great, but it fits well on 3IS.

I shopped for a couple years before I bought my IS 350 F. Watching Motor Week and reading Motor Trend for a sport/luxury car. Very thorough review. After owning the car for a month, I still smile every time I get in!

The clock reminds me of the one in the S 550. Classy! So that is one part of the luxury equation I like.

Yes, the stereo controls are not as easy as my wife's 13 SRX, but the seat heats up twice as fast and the climate control is a breeze.

Seats are comfortable for a 700 mile one way 12 hour trip.

I don't understand the tire quagmire, but so far they are ok. I think the car has excellent "turn in". It feels right when you turn the wheel.

I remember when BMW and other cars didn't have ANY cupholders. Not crazy about first oil change at 10k miles, but can't argue with Lexus mechanical longevity. I still give the car
