Cabin Micro Filter - Any DIY's Out There?
I'm due for my second service and I'd prefer to just do this myself.
Has anyone done this themselves?
Where did you get the filter?

Yes it's the same way and I believe the same filter as 2IS too.

open glove box, pop the tray out. there is a back door cover. push the two tabs and it pops out. pull filter out

Put ventilation system in Recirculation mode first.

I don't think you need to do that with 3IS anymore.

I had the same question when I read this thread. As far as I remember, I don't need to put the climate control in recirculation mode and the manual didn't say that as well. I think it is necessary when you have the engine on.

its a preventative thing so you doing get the piled up debris on the inlet to go and fall on the blower. but hipefully you are cleaning out the inlet often

I bought mine from Amazon for $11. Had to wait 2 weeks to get it, though. took 5 minutes to change. (07 LS460)
