Current Infotainment Firmware Number?
I couldnt find anything.
I have to reset my system at least once a day with my iphone 6 and i dont want to take the time to bring it in for an upgrade if there isnt anything newer.
I have tried to vary stereo on/off, time to movement so other processes can start before the nav has to think, phone plugged in/not and cannot find any consistency in WHEN it happens. The only consistency is at what point of boot up which is 90% of the time at "audio player connected".
Once reset it works fine.
Also, i am not complaining too badly, it sucks but not enough to REALLY bother me. I just dont want to waste my time going to the dealer if i dont have to.

Both function freeze on me.
Sometimes its the nav (i assume processor) where the stereo keeps playing but the arrow and all functions are locked.
Sometimes the arrow moves but the "connected to audio" is frozen (processor) and all functions are locked out.
The craziest part is that it does this at least 75% of the time but ALMOST NEVER re-freezes are holding power down for a hard restart. i cant imagine there are that many processes at initial boot up that are skipped during a hard restart.

I had an issue recently with the whole system just shutting down while my wife was pulling into a gas station. She took it to the dealer and could not replicate the problem. Lexus HQ sent a tech to look at the car and they uploaded a new update. This happened last week. I am not at home to take a picture of the new firmware number but once I get back home I will.

Nope, there was no rhyme or reason. I tried for about a month systematically to isolate the failure mode changing variables one by one and i could not at any point determine a single factor that would or would not cause it. It would USUALLY freeze on the "audio connected" section of boot up but even that was consistent.
Variables tested that had no direct link were, time between start and movement of vehicle (various timings tried), radio on/off, usb connected/not (both phone and music), time of day (not likely but worth a try), climate control on (wasnt sure if they shared a cpu somewhere BUT it did display on screen so theoretically there was a signal to process). and ALL combinations of them.
It did start when i started using the iphone 6 from an iphone 5 though.
Also noted that it NEVER froze after holding down the power button to reset it so i was guessing it was an issue with it being fed too much info at start up and simply not being able to process it.
since the update 7/2 i havent had so much as a hickup so i think im good now with the firmware update.
