the dealer will take it back, but not without cost. you'll lose money on the transaction for sure. if you're willing (and able given the financial ramifications), then go for it.

Yeah, I figured that. I am best off lease trading... I am on a bunch of car forums with itrader feedback, and also swapalease and leasetrader.

With the payment, clear bra, etc.. its worthwhile for someone I'd think. The payment with no money down and mileage is solid. Plus a solid combo, Ultra White on Rioja.

My dilemma is my wife just got a new mid sized sedan (Mazda 6) so I do not need a sedan. I really want to get into an RC 350 F Sport AWD and I have only had my IS for just under 4 months.

Only has 3850 miles on it. The lease payment is $423/mo + state tax. I got 12K miles per year also. No money down. Which I think is a great deal with no money down and 12K miles a year.

Current payoff info:
  • $44,968.91
  • Valid through 08/31/2015

I wonder if my dealer might take it back? Not sure how that price stacks up against what 2015 cars are going for with 3-4K miles.
You would have to be willing to lose a sizeable chunk of money. Your car is probably worth around $40k wholesale trade in - maybe a little more. There are no sweet deals that I know of on the RC yet - I believe the money factor is about twice that of the IS. Pose your thoughts to a few dealers and see what they come back with - it would be interesting to hear the numbers.

i thought about doing the same thing and inquired about it with Lexus dealers. I am upside down 10K on my lease since its almost a year old, the best I got was $600/mo 36months 10K miles with $3000 due at signing. This was with the current special of $6000 off MSRP ($6003 actually) and a trade-in of $34000 on my 2014 IS350 Fsport with 13K miles. $600/mo for 36/mos is about $150 higher than what I currently pay, so I declined, especially with $3000 due at signing.

Yeah, I called my salesman, who is a pretty big car guy himself and he said that trading it back in wouldn't make sense. But due to the lease payment and no money down with 12k per year, its a good deal for someone that is looking for an IS 350 Fsport AWD.

So I will take some pics I think and try and list it for lease trade. Its only a $200 processing fee from Lexus Financial. No money down to assume the lease.

If anyone is interested or has a friend/relative who is interested, feel free to PM me as I will be listing it on the leasetrading sites soon, and from looking, my price for mileage and equipment is like the best price.

Question to the OP:

What is the length of the lease?

Surprised to receive a couple PMs already and to answer Crew above:

36 month lease, 32 payments remain.

The buyout at the end of the lease is $31,231.62

I recommend go get or lease the RCF (V8 , more power, loud exhaust ) cuz Ur IS and RC350 are same about engine, interior, functions. It's just the body as coupe. If u just want to drive new car with same payment then go ahead take RC350.
