Default Negotiated Price Reasonable? 2015 IS250

Hi , Im new here and wanted to get opinions on whether im getting a good deal here.

Location: Dallas, Texas

Dealer: Sewell Lexus of Dallas

I've been trying to negotiate with one of the salesman here and my family has bought a car once from him back in 2012. Good Guy overall.

UPDATE: So i managed to get it down to $40.5k NON AWD No nav. Those options werent really a big deal. But Im fine with 40.5k Seems like this is the best i could do.

New MSRP: $42,383
OTD after 8% Tax is $40.5k

Color: Ultra White / Red Roija

I've only managed to talk him down to that OTD price after days. Before it was $45,773.52 but got him down to $44,236 OTD . Looks like ive seen better deals here and people getting IS 350 for 44K but many factors do play in. I've checked Truecar.com and i feel like i can get a better deal than $44.2k any opnions?

It's a bad deal, dealers are more flexible with the IS250 than IS350, you should shoot for at least 10% or 41.17k, but would really want 40.2k especially with the 2016 model due to be release and engine change.

I thought so too. Sales guy just not budging. Did my research and everything , Truecar.com , Edmunds.com I've seen people pay as low as 41k . The most ill spend is 42.5k and max would be 43k. Any opinions or advice i could get upon pricng? i have a few dealerships here and have checked with 2 of them with Sewell being one of them.

I purchased a IS350 from Sewell this past April, 10% off list price, perhaps could have gone deeper, but I felt it was reasonable. Email the internet managers at other local Lexus dealerships.

I bought an IS350 non-fsport at Lexus Plano a couple of months ago for 42k OTD. Sewell Lexus was offering me 43k OTD and this is all with the student rebate of 1k. My cars' MSRP was around 46.6k, take that as you will. I think the main reason why they sold it for so cheap to me was that not many people buy a non f-sport version of the 350.

Yeah this 250 awd has everything. And it's already on the lot and I have the money ready and what not ready to sign papers but I have two options here that if I read his messages right that he can lease me the vehicle for 41k I'd have to check with him again if that's right. But I'm looking to BUY the car for 42/43 but the guy isn't budging what numbers do you think is reasonable? I've messaged internet sales from grapevine and Plano so I will see what park place has to offer and use sewells pricing and see if they can beat then return to Sewell and see if they can beat that?

I bought my IS350 F-Sport for 43.9k, I would cross shop the IS350 as well as dealers sometimes offer model specific pricing. My local dealer tells me they sell IS250 in a 3:1 ratio vs the IS350 as the latter sits on the lot longer. Your best bet is to wait until the 2016 models come out and buy a 2015 model as the dealers are aware most customers gravitate towards the newer model

Wow 43.9k for 350 f sport that's awesome. I was looking to buy one now. But trying to see if it's better to lease or to buy and if there is a big price gap in between the two.

Sent you a pm, your area actually has different pricing between AWD and RWD. If you go that route you'll get the deal you want.

If by out the door, he means incl TTL, he DID get 10% off msrp.

OP - does your OTD incl TTL?

And what is the actual selling price?

Selling price for the AWD is 41,744 after tax and the offer came to 44.2 exactly.

What is the msrp? A selling price of 10-11% off msrp would be a fairly good deal; 13-15% off would be a great deal.

Based on recent deals we've seen posted.
