Low profile jack that lifts 1.5 tons at my local canadian tire shop

http://www.canadiantire.ca/en/pdp/mo...l#.VkDP_788qpQ

Is 1.5 tons enough or should i wait till another sale for a 2 ton jack....

Thanks
I think ill wait for the 2 ton special i guess...as i will be able to use on heavier cars i guess

I actually replaced my 1.5 ton for a 2.5 after buying my IS. It should have been enough for lifting only one end, but I don't like being near limit. And I'll be able to lift heavier cars.

Bought a Torin Black Jack at Costco.

Im waiting for a sale at my canadian tire for a low profile 2 ton jack. I dont really need one right now

I also tried my new torque wrench yesterday which i bought at canadian tire.

I really going overboard with this car. Its one of the best looking cars around. Im so happy the wife picked the is250 over the audi a3 with the same options. The monthly payments were identical

Anyways

Im still interested on how the winter wheels look on some posters here

Thanks

I use regular jack stands. I don't even know if "low profile" ones exist.

I'll post pics once mine are on as well. I'm holding out yet for colder epa and possible talk of accumulating snow.

Had my winter tires and rims put on my 2015 IS 350 F-Sport today.
Ordered and installed thru Steelcase Tire in Markham ON. Good price and service.

Nokian Hakka R2's. 225 45 R17
17" RWC LX-80 rims, custom fit
Sensors

Pics are not the best, but you can get an idea of the look.

@Answer, in my experience with Costco, you can just ask for the difference back. I've done this on products even a year old. Just make sure you have the receipt to prove your original purchase price.

The way around this is the jack the car up higher... then any jack stand will work. Do not use the "jack points" on the IS for jacking. They are not rigid enough and will bend. Jack the car up on the frame and then place stands under the jack points.
