Does anyone have some thump (bass) in their 3IS?
Hello,
I am new here and just want to know if anybody's added bass (system) to their 3IS...
If so, what's needed to connect it from the woofers to the radio and where can I get it?

You'll need a Line Out Convertor , an amp, subs, and some wire and a bit of cash...
There is a wiring diagram on here and if you dig a little maybe on page 2 or 3 of the threads there is a guy who installed a sub in his..
It isn't hard to do.

Yep, that was me!
It actually wasn't all that hard to do, I was just overthinking the wiring with the Line Out Converter (I would recommend the PAC SNI-35 from amazon)
You tap the wires from the line out converter into the subwoofer wires coming from your factory amp (under first aid kit in trunk) and then connect RCA cables from Line Out Converter to your aftermarket amplifier. Everything else is the same as you would in any car.

The audio control lc-2i is what you want as your line out.
I have a 1000w alpine amp with a remote bass **** hooked into the lc2i
The amp has a 3.5 farad cap to hold the electric system stable
Pushing 2 aluma-pro 12's competition subs ( hand made )
The subs are in a custom box and fir perfect behind the seats. No too deep either
The overall setup is loud and clear. It's perfectly complemented by the factory system

I'm in the process of making a fiberglass enclosure for a 10" sub that'll sit in the back right of the trunk. I got the mold made and now have to just add more layers to this fiberglass base before proceeding further. First time fiberglassing so I have lots of bubbles that I had to sand/dremel out.
