I wonder if people who are using 87, will accelerate the process of carbon buildup on the valves, a known issue w non-port injected engines, particularly w competition engine forms Audi or bmw. The 350 had port injection and I believe 200t does as well. I don't think the IS300 or 250 has it?

the is300 uses the same engine as the 350, it's just detuned. the 250 is the engine that is prone to carbon buildup, although a major engine revision in 2010 largely slowed the process.

All direct fuel injector like IS250, BMW, Audi have carbon build up. But not IS350/ISF because it have direct & port fuel injector.

There's a vendor on this forum that claims to have a tune for the 3IS so he could tune it to extend the rev limiter and change A/F ratio to match a tuned up 350. But they want $995 for it. Look up TTFS.
