The non-ml system still has center speaker but I have it unplugged. The purpose of the center channel is mostly to provide a good center soundstage for both driver and passenger. 99% of the time I'm the only one in the car so I don't need to worry about that. Using time alignment in the DSP I have things tuned to provide the best soundstage for the driver's seat only.

have a 2016 IS350 with non-ML stereo. Looking to do a 3-way active stage up front and dropping the rear fill, so I need to grab a full range stereo signal.

I'm understanding that I want to do this post-factory-amplifier - no problem.

Can anyone confirm:
1) Are the right and left front channel output of the stock amplifier full range?
2) Is the right and left front channel output of the stock amplifier flat?
3) Is there any volume-****-sensitive dynamic EQ'ing going on?

Thanks so much.

SICK BUILD!!!

What is everyone using for a processor in 2016/17?

I noticed JL Audio has some new integration product out., I'm looking at the Fix-86 and a compact 5 channel amp like a HD900/5 or an Alpine PDX-V9 to power a set of HA Clarius 6.5s up front and a TBD sub in the back.

I have the Audiocontrol DQ-61

Works really well for me. Coming from the JBL MS8 in my previous vehicle, I am very Happy with it. No bluetooth phone call lag for the person on the other end like the ms8, sound quality and imaging are exactly what I was looking for.

I ended up switching out the Mosconi processor for a Helix dsp pro. The processor is great and the user interface is so much better than mosconi's. I've also discovered that it's sufficient to only use the front right and left doors and sub as inputs from the factory amp. They're enough to provide the full range signal to aftermarket equipment.

Very nice setup with very good craftsmanship.
I think the Lexus ML system is waste of money and would be better spent on an aftermarket system.
On that note, how do you like the scanspeak setup? I'm thinking of getting a different car and planning another stereo setup.

Hey Greg, what is your take on the JL Audio FiX-86? For a much simpler system.... Or what else do your recommend? CriMe, the DQ-61 is second on my list.

Very nice install. I wanted to keep my system as close as factory as possible so just added a subwoofer. see here: https://www.clublexus.com/forums/is-...-too-easy.html

I mounted my sub control underneath the dash on the left side.

Only thing I want to do next is dash speakers. Are the stock dash speakers 2 ways? mids and highs? I may leave them stock.. or replace them. Not sure yet. I don't want to throw money at them if it wont improve the sound. Trying to figure out what to do!
