Where are you jacking the car up? What is the preferred jack point? Just pre planning prior to winter wheel install. Thanks.

 

Front crossmember and rear differential! Avoid the side "emergency scissor jack" points as they are easily bendable with a floor jack.

Neither of my jacks are low enough to get under the front. I drive the front wheels up on a couple lynx blocks and that gives me the clearance to get the jack under.

 

Yeah, depending on the jack type that's a good alternative. I have a low profile jack and there's like a quarter inch max of clearance.

What is so sad is that even Lexus Roadside Assistance contractors DO NOT KNOW THIS, nor do they come to your assistance with the right jack adapter which could prevent just such damage.

If you are just supporting the car once raised, side pinch welds are OK to use. Just don't use a floor jack on them (learned it the hard way)

 

Any detailed picture of these?I wasn't sure where they were when I swapped out my tires and ended up just using the emergency scissor jack on the pinch welds to swap my tires

Please do. The pictures in the manual are very small and unclear. everything underneath the car seems to be covered in plastic so it's hard to see where it is.
