I was finally able to get mine clean!

Lots of work tonight, but I declare success!

Nice work! What did you use to clean these up?

I just had Xpel Ultimate applied to the front end of my car and asked them about replacing the factory pieces. The template covers the majority of the wheel well opening and the entire rocker panel as well but after seeing your work I am thinking about leaving the factory door part on.

I took alcohol soaked Q-Tips to the edge and worked it over and over and over. For two years I've needed to do that.

Then, after all that, I traded in my IS today. That was not planned, but that's a story for another thread...

I took mine off as the car is white and I cba cleaning it every week.

Just pull it off. Don't heat it. It pulls off easy, just lift an edge with a finger nail and pull hard!

Heating will just melt the glue and it'll create a sticky mess on the paint whereas it just comes off clean with very little residue if not heated.

Then degrease with tar remover. Takes 5 mins MAX
