I agree. In addition it does provide a little protection from scratches.

You mean a lot? That leather is thick nothing is going to damage the key fob in these beastly leather covers haha. Both of my covers are all black with the whiteish gray stitching I think I might try out the blue permanent marker suggested to turn the stitching blue.

True.

Just buy the blue ones. They're like $8 on LexusPartsNow as linked above. They look like this (the blue being kinda subtle).

Which one is the blue one? There are different part numbers the 162-F1 being the red?

Edit: NVM figured it out thanks! Lol

Not to necro this thread, but my wife's key glove is pretty much in tatters, and mine is wearing a bit at the edges. So, I am looking for replacements. I saw one that sounded interesting on LexusPartsNow, in "cabernet". Does anyone have this key glove and know if it matches the rioja red interior well?

Hmm I haven’t seen that one or heard of it. I just know there is the regular black glove with grayish white stitching (this came with my keys from the dealership), black glove with blue stitching which I bought recently, and then a red version too. Also there are ones with the F logo and then there are ones with the “L” Lexus logo.

Pretty much, I am wondering if the "cabernet" and "red" are the same, lol.

Well I just looked, and the key type is "TYPE 2", so I am not sure it'll work. All the other ones that fit the IS are "TYPE 1".

Besides, the shipping costs on the website are ridiculous. Maybe I should just get the GS black/red from ebay.

I ended up getting the black and red ones from Ebay. They were listed as being compatible with the GS 350.

Nice! I ended up getting the black and blue about a month ago and am really happy with them. Both have the blue stitching and one of them the loop thingy is blue and the other is black. I would post pictures, but too lazy lol.

Yeah I had those. My wife's was pretty much destroyed, so that's why I got new ones. Decided to switch it up. I really liked them, but the red kinda pops more.
