Default Brand New 2016 IS200t :)

Good Evening,

Just bought my 2016 IS200t, Atomic Silver color. I came from a 2000 LS400 and primarily stayed on the LS forums. The maintenance just wouldn't stop after 2 and a half years of ownership. Went down to the Lexus dealership and fell in love with the IS and the ride, just what I needed, sporty and silky smooth!

Anyways, here are some pictures:

My IS and LS got to meet at the office, family friend bought the LS400 off of me.

Sweet ride. Keep us updated on your gas mileage and what you are seeing city/highway.

do you live in the socal desert? i'm always fascinated how cars manage to run without completely melting in the desert.

Haha no I dont live in the desert, everywhere in CA just looks dry because of the drought right now. I'm in Ventura. Oddly enough, on a full tank I get 340 in range...same as I got in the LS on a full tank. I use top tier gas.

340miles? that seems quite low, what was your average? i am driving f-sport model, half city half highway, average 8.2L/100km which is 28.69 MPG

Just checked, averaging 19.5 mpg, I'm just driving on surface streets right now, like 4 miles to work and back home. No lead foot, driving in normal mode. Is that abnormal?

the 4 cylinder turbo isn't as efficient as everyone wants to think it is. My 250 gets 19-20 mpg also doing a 3 mile commute to work and 3 miles back

Thumbs up

This is what I get on the highways with my 200t. Average speed of 70 mph and commute of 50+ miles.

Four miles to work and back doesn't get the car warmed up good. Hard to judge that MPG

well, it is prob winter in usa, so your car won't even get to normal operating temp before you reach your work/home, so contributes to your high fuel usage.

go drive a longer distance on the weekend, or highway for like half an hour and check the fuel usage on the fly, you will get a better indication.

if you only drive this sort of distance, an hybrid like 300H might be better.
