Default Tow Strap Placement?

I have a grimmspeed license plate relocater (this one) that utilizes the OEM tow point on the front of the car.

I bought some takata tow straps (
this one this one
) and I cant figure out where to mount it in a functional place.

Can anyone shed some light on this?

You would need to chassis mount it somehow. Even if you didn’t have the license plate relocator, you wouldn’t be able to mount the tow strap to the stock tow hook location because the mounting bolt is 90 degrees off from where it needs to be If that makes sense. You’d have to bend the tow strap bracket and that’s not a good way to go about it.

Race cars simply cut a slot in their bumper and mount it to the crash beam or another strong part of the chassis. If you can find a straight shot from the crash beam outward through a pre-existing hole in the bumper, that would be your best bet. But I don’t know if we have one. Our front bumpers are sealed up pretty well. The only open areas are the brake duct areas, but I think those areas aren’t in front of any part of the chassis. You’d probably have to cut a slot in the bumper somewhere in order to properly mount it.
