Is350 Cooled Seats
Hi there, I just picked up a new 2016 is350 fsport and I've noticed the cooled seats don't seem to be very strong/cooling. Is this normal? Cause it does not feel like it's working as intended.

The dealer gave me a demo of this feature, yeah, it's subtle, you are not going to feel rush of cool air coming from behind. I guess whether it works or not you will know if your shirt ever sticks to your seats due to perspiration - I didn't have a chance to test it to that level.

I also have a 16' IS350 F & my cooling feature seems to function extremely well. I've owned the car less then 1 month & Kentucky weather has been fairly chilly most of the time but after testing the cooling seat feature yesterday (72 degrees here), the seats felt extremely comfortable & became very cool within a few short minutes. I'm not sure how this will play out in summer temps., but definitely felt the "cooling air effect" yesterday.

A common misconception between cooled seats and ventilated seats.. cooled seats blow cool/cold air out. Ventilated seats blow air that is inside the cabin. So if the inside of your car feels like a lukewarm temperature, then it's going to blow lukewarm air. Maybe that explains it?

In my second gen 250 there was an A/C outlet right under the seat for the backseat people. I simply took a tin foil lid (for one of those square food containers) and put one end under the AC vent and folded it so it routed the cold air up and into the seat.
AC on low, turned to the floor setting + vent seats turned to on = a freezing seat during the hottest days! Def have to do that on the 2016 and see if it's the same.

I don't... today was the first day I had to use AC on the car (in the northeast) but when I get back from spring break I'll try it out. I know for a fact this topic has been discussed in the 2IS forum here on CL as that's where I learned about it from!!
