Default Front Leather Cover

Hello IS Owners,

New IS owner here I am interested in purchasing a black leather cover for my IS 250 F Sport. I have the silver one and feel like the black cover would complement the colors well since the back has that black plastic part.

Anyone have any pictures of their IS with the cover on? If so, where is a good place to purchase it?

are you talking about a leather bra? I haven't seen one of those on a car in years. Most do the clear 3M now.

if he or she is then it's better to just get paint protection film because debris becomes trapped under those leather protection covers and mars the paint underneath defeating the purpose.

I agree. I had those when I went cross country and it did leave little scratches. It was better than going naked though. Cross country trips really kill the paint...especially those Midwest bugs. Yuck

Anyone have any experiencing applying the 3m clear bras? It seems like a difficult task since you have to be spot on when applying the bra. When purchasing the clear bra, does it come fitted for the front end of a 3IS?

My husband and I have installed clear bras on two vehicles in the past. I've used the Xpel Ultimate both times and they are forgiving during installation to a point. There is NO way that I would attempt installation on the front bumper of the 3IS.

And yes, you can buy them pre-cut. Xpel has them on their website and I'm sure there are others.

Thanks for the heads up. It seems like this project is going to be harder than expected. Wish there was a OEM leather bra lol
