UGH! What is with Toyota styling? The new Prius is a porker and this ain't much better. Def prefer a NA engine, but need to produce more power and add a better ZF transmission. Is it too much to ask to skip gears on downshifts?

Lorem Ipsum is simply dummy text of the printing and typesetting industry. Lorem Ipsum has been the industry's standard dummy text ever since the 1500s, when an unknown printer took a galley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book. It has survived not only five centuries, but also the leap into electronic typesetting, remaining essentially unchanged. It was popularised in the 1960s with the release of Letraset sheets containing Lorem Ipsum passages, and more recently with desktop publishing software like Aldus PageMaker including versions of Lorem Ipsum.

It was a tough decision but I did it and have no remorse. Just ordered a .2017 A4 quattro (AWD). Pure white (Ibis white) with black leather interior/matt grey oak inserts with the sport package (upgraded fully adjustable sport seats and black headliner) and the 19" wheel package (car comes with 245/35 tires and is lowered 1" with the 19" wheel package). As soon as it arrives in mid November I'll get a APR Stage1 tune good for 314hp/388tq (just released this week for the B9 A4). and maybe RS7 wheels.
There were just to many little things I didn't like about the IS350 to buy another one. I think more than anything it was the engine (lack of torque) and transmission (ASIN tranny not programmed right for my tastes meaning that in normal mode it was always in too high a gear coming out of turns) that led me away from the IS. The slow nav and some of the cheap plastic interior pieces really didn't bother me all that much. I really don't like the new front end on the 2017 IS so I guess that really clinched my exit from the Lexus fold.
I've test driven the A4 twice now with the 19's and it handles and rides really nicely. With the APR tune (0-60 in 4.8 seconds) it should be a fun ride..
People put down the A4 but the new B9 is nothing like the older B8 A4. Totally different animal other than looking similar..
Audi reliability is right behind Lexus and Toyota right now so i'm not worried about that in the least either.
I think for most people the IS is a great car and it really is a pretty nice car imo. It just didn't competely do it for me. Maybe the Audi A4 won't either. Maybe that's why they make the RS7. (aka my dream car)

Just give it some time. Lexus will produce a TT V6 soon. They have to to stay competitive.

The problem is that how much more time can we give them? I understand that they want their new engines to be reliable, but using an engine that debuted in 2005 is ridiculous. They really need to put out a new TT 6 cylinder engine and use ZF's 8-speed instead of the AISIN one.

Well this is interesting. It looks like, for the 17 models without navigation, you'll be able to use navigation on your display audio screen through your phone.

It doesn't sound like uses Apple Maps or Google Maps, so I am curious if this Scout app will be any good.

Lexus USA will be adding a smartphone-powered navigation system to the standard package on select 2017 models. Called Scout GPS Link, the system relies on an app available for both Apple & Android devices
Scout GPS Link navigation will not interfere with other smartphone features like music or phone calls, and also works with voice activation and search commands.
The new system will be standard on the 2017 RX, IS, ES, NX, and RC F models equipped with the Display Audio Controller.
