UPDATED Radar Detector Recommendations
Hey guys,
I'm looking for UPDATED information on radar detectors. I searched but most of the posts are regarding installation. I've done some research on the detectors, and I'm stuck between 3 or 4 of them.
I'm looking at the Escort Passport Max2, Escort Passport Redline, Valentine One, and BEL GT-7.
I live in the DFW, TX area and my vehicle is my daily driver in the city. I'd really like a detector that functions well but is also capable of "learning" the false alarms so I don't have alert fatigue over time with the radar. It seems that Escort's line does come with that but I've read some negative reviews.
Any input on any of these radars or a different recommendation would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

I have the V1 in my Camaro and the Escort 8500 in the Lexus. Both are great but obviously the V1 has the arrows telling you where the threat is coming from and how many. I've also heard really good things about the Escort 360. When I bought the Lexus I purchased a mirror mount and power tap for the escort. Install was easy and it sits just under the mirror with no ugly wires hanging out. I picked it up from Amazon

it's not just audi's, newer cars have some sort of radar based collision avoidance system (i.e. blind spot monitoring, adaptive cruise control, predictive braking, etc.).
most of these systems use K band signal which detectors will not alert, but some do dip into radar detector bands (i think vw group and gm are the top offenders).

V1. Great detector that is does a great job at identification and reporting traps. No issues with Audis or other cars' radar-based systems.
As an aside, like an iPhone, the V1 maintains its value. I sold my first V1 earlier this year to buy one with the latest hardware. After 10 years, I was able to sell it on eBay for 75% of its original price.
