aftermarket battery ?

The OEM battery is good but there are other options that are just as good but are cheaper. Interstate makes most of the Lexus and Toyota batteries. You would be safe using the interstate battery equivalent plus they generally have a longer warranty as well.
Another option is the Optima batteries, these seem to have gone up in price greatly recently in the past few years and in my opinion do not last as long as the older ones did.

Sams Club Group 24
Duracell (made by East Penn) group 24 is $100 at Sams Club with a 3 year free replacement warranty. I had one of these in my wife's car, it started being slow to start after 30 months of Florida heat. Took it out of the car to Sams Club and they gave me a brand new one - and didn't even bother to test the old one.

I bought a redtop battery back in 2005 for my 2004 Matrix for about 120 from Super Autobac (in Socal if any of you remember that place). I left the battery drain for 2 or 3 times because of the carPC didn't shutdown properly. After the Matrix got totalled, I moved it to the 2000 Accord in 2011. Finally moved it to my Supra in 2012 after I sold the Accord. The battery gave up last years after it drain out a few time in the Supra due to carPC isn't shutdown properly and low usage in the Supra.
The Redtop is expensive but worth the money.
