Buying new wheels! Using Snap Finance or other wheel financing lenders
Hi CL community,
I have a question and I'm hoping someone can help! Recently I got approved by Snap Finance, Progressive Finance, and One Road Lending. I know, it sounds crazy! I just applied to all 3 and I am looking to get some wheels for my car. However, I was wondering if I can use more than one lender to pay for my wheels. I narrowed my search down to 4 main sites:
a. Element Wheels
b. Get Your Wheels .com
c. Car ID
d. Super Buy Tires
Has anyone dealt with any of these vendors? How about using financing to pay for your wheels?? Any advice is appreciated!
Thanks guys!

Just save your money to buy a set of wheels. Financing them isn't the best idea.
I've never purchased from any of those places, but I've heard plenty of horror stories about car ID. I usually by from Discount Tire. They will price match and can get just about any thing you want. Plus they have great customer service.

i dont ever recommend modding a car with financing.
that is just a downhill spiral that can get out of control quick
save your money and when your ready, get what you want.
it will be more rewarding in the end

I came here to say the same thing. HAving multiple Heavy modified vehicles through various genres its pretty well understood that modifications add $0 to the value of the vehicle and in some cases actually detract from its value (Ie ANY wrangler). Financing on top of that is giving even more money away that you couldnt have afforded to give away in one lump some.

It's your money/finances, spend it how you want. If you can get a couple months of no interest and possibly budget yourself to pay it off in those couple months then finance the ***** out if it lol ... Just read the fine print. Sometimes after those few months of no interest, if not paid off, you will have to pay back the interest from those months. +
That being said, do your research before you buy from anywhere ...

Not a good sign if you've reached the point of searching for lenders to cover the cost of mods. New wheels can wait but it is your choice. Buy when you have enough money to afford them. Otherwise, it's adding more debt onto your load.

Thank you all for your input! I've decided to hold off on the purchase and just save some money (maybe 1-2 months worth of pay). Then, when I'm ready I'll just buy them and pay cash/debit card!

For the time being, maybe just lower on either coilovers or springs, depending on what your ultimate plans are for the car and throw on spacers until you figure out what you really want, right down to the width of the wheel, offset, specific brand and model and size of tire and ride height, so they will fit and work how you want. You'll have the time to research and do it right the first time.
You don't want to rush into this if your car is sitting on stock suspension. The OEM F Sport wheels are so classy looking and keep the car clean, sometimes I see cars with aftermarket wheels and SMH because it looks like poo and stock would look better. Address the suspension first and then the wheels, IMO.
